Natanael Sasaki was born in Kuopio Finland. He started his musical journey with his mother Marja at age of 3. Early music experiences included Kodaly training group and Suzuki studies and at age 5 Natanael was accepted to Kuopio Conservatory of music. At nine he was accepted into Sibelius Academy program for young gifted children under mentorship of Pertti Sutinen, Zoja Istomina and and Igor Bezrodny. He also studied under private mentorship of Israeli teacher Hagai Shaham, Anatoli Reznikowsky and Edward Wolfson.His other studies were at music elementary school, junior music high school and music high school. During those years he played as a soloist, in small chamber groups, violin piano duos, international orchestra groups. Following military service, his studies concentrated into violin making and in 2001 Natanael began study at the Newark school of Violin making under principal violin maker Kerry Boylan. He enjoyed the influence of such great teachers as Peter Smith, Paul Goslin, Paul Harold and Bob Payne. After graduating from the Newark school he studied bow making in Cambridge under Jan Kudanowski. Natanael worked for Canadian violin shop V. A. Hill Fine Strings from 2005-2016 as a master violin maker and mentor undertaking restorations & repairs. In 2017 he started his own company N. Sasaki Luthier mentorship and fine violins. His vision is to bring instrument makers, musicians, and artists together to educate, create, and work in common goals to bring fair market principles, talents, services and instruments to the string community.
